If anyone has been in earshot of me for longer than 20 minutes in the last few months, they will have listened to me emphatically express my excitement about an eating philosophy that is ROCKING my world! I remember when a friend introduced me to this concept of eating only living foods, I thought she was fanatical, out of balance and annoying. I pushed away from the idea because I loved the ritual of kitchen activity, especially the aromas that wafted out of my kitchen while I dissolved the lifeforce out of my food.
Well, I love it when I get to eat my words in hindsight. Yes, my friend who introduced me to this way of nourishing the bodyTemple is a little wacky and out of balance but who isn't? I, personally, enjoy being around those people because they are brilliant and excited about SOMETHING. My friends and colleagues would probably describe me the very same way. I'm okay with that. The last desriptor in the world I would want someone to describe me as is "nice".
Back to this Living Foods business-- wow!!! When I eat a salad, I feel great. My tummy is humming with healthy and efficient digestion and my head feels clear because it isn't rebelling against poor food choices. Yes, I've made some very poor food choices in my life; I'll save that for another blog series. My bodyTemple is sensitive and it likes to be nourished well. Living foods is really about adding more to your body-- more energy, more nutrients, more creativity, etc. The lifestyle is not just tons of salads. In fact, come to think of it, I didn't even eat a salad yesterday! What I did eat, yumyum, get ready!, was a nifty collard green burrito stuffed with sprouted hummus, avocado, yellow pepper slivers, sprouts and this sprouted buckwheat basil pate. My body was elevated to a higher vibration and my mind produced some kick butt clarity and creativity. That is what it is all about for me. I need to maximize my potential. By tapping into the brilliance and simplicity of eating our nourishment the way it was delivered to us from our Creator, we connect deeper to (fill in your creator- mine is God). Stay tuned for more from the crystal clear creative forcec from SOLA NIKOLA!

When you say, burrito does that mean you where allowed to use a regular flour or corn tortilla? Also, tell us the basic philosophy and where there are restaurants here that follow it.
The burrito is actually a very durable raw collard green. It holds the good stuff inside better than any processed corn or flour tortilla. Restaurants are hard to come by. I'm in Salt Lake City and there is only 1 raw food restaurant. I see it as the wave of the future so more will be springing up in progressive places.
